Most people still believe the body just “heals itself.”
And to a degree—that’s true.
Cuts close. Bones mend. The system is designed to recover.
But here’s the part that gets overlooked:
The body doesn’t heal in a vacuum.
It heals with whatever materials you give it.
If those materials are inconsistent… low in protein… low in quality fats… overloaded with processed fuel…
Then the body is still trying to do its job—
just with suboptimal inputs.
That’s where the disconnect happens.
Mr. Skeptical would probably say:
“Yeah, but the body is resilient. It figures it out.”
And it does—up to a point.
But resilience isn’t the same as optimization.
There’s a difference between:
getting by
andactually functioning at a high level
That difference shows up as:
stubborn weight gain
low energy
poor sleep
slower recovery
Not because the body is broken…
But because it’s being built—day after day—with the wrong materials.
So instead of asking:
“Why isn’t my body healing?”
A better question might be:
“What am I giving my body to actually build and repair itself with?”
Because the body already knows what to do.
The real question is whether you’re giving it what it needs to do it well.
Be aware.
