Something strange is happening in our homes.
Dogs are getting diabetes. Cats are getting diabetes. Some are taking insulin shots — the same ones humans take.
And before we tell ourselves this is just “bad luck” or “genetics,” it’s worth asking a harder question: what changed?
Our pets didn’t suddenly evolve weaker pancreases. They didn’t discover sugar. They didn’t invent ultra-processed food.
We did.
And in the process of humanizing their diets, we may have accidentally turned our animals into metabolic mirrors — quietly showing us where we’re headed next.
This video isn’t really about dogs or cats.
It’s about us.
