Why Do We Stay Stuck—even When We Know What We Need to Do?

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Greg Myer explains why knowing what needs to change and actually changing it can be two very different things.

What keeps us stuck—and what does it actually take to move forward?

On this week’s Better Wealth and Health Podcast, I’m joined by Greg Myer, LMHC, founder of RPM Counseling in South Florida.

Greg brings an interesting perspective to mental health. He’s a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with about a decade of experience, as well as a former Marine Corps Military Police Officer. His work includes helping people dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and the pressures faced by veterans, first responders, and men who have learned to carry everything themselves.

We talk about why people can know exactly what they need to change and still remain stuck, why men can be particularly reluctant to ask for help, and how our mental and physical health affect one another.

Sometimes moving forward isn’t about knowing more.

It’s about figuring out what’s keeping you from acting on what you already know.

🎙️ Join Greg and me for a conversation about mental health, change, and moving forward on The Better Wealth and Health Podcast—with Stand-Up Energy.
