Minneapolis Pull Workout

One set to failure. Three bands. Zero excuses. My July 4th travel workout.

Most people treat vacations like a vacation from their health. I treat them as a chance to prove that consistency beats convenience.

This pull workout was filmed over the July 4th weekend in Minneapolis using nothing more than resistance bands and a portable home pull-up station.

No gym.
No machines.
No complicated routine.

Just controlled reps, full range of motion, and one hard set to failure.

The goal isn’t to have the perfect workout—it’s to never lose the habit.

If you’re over 40, consistency almost always beats intensity. You don’t need the fanciest equipment. You need a plan you can follow whether you’re at home, traveling, or celebrating a holiday.

That’s how fitness becomes part of your lifestyle instead of something you “start over” every Monday.

Which is harder for you: staying consistent while traveling or getting started in the first place? Let me know in the comments.

I’d also like to thank Jorg Mardin from Strong Health for showing me the single-leg Romanian deadlift move.
